So, which do you think they made up with first: the title or the puppet?
'Cause there are a number of issues with having a sloth be the villain in your slasher movie, and that's not even getting into their applying the old defunct idea of alpha and beta animals to SLOTHS of all things.
They should have used a ground sloth instead.
Why?
Mylodontid ground sloths were bear-sized omnivorous.
They are impressive diggers (so they can hide and surprise in a horror context).
And to support this digging they had insanely big and large claws. Like, one claw bone (not including the sheath) is the size of a human hand.
Oh, and they have thick skin with bones embedded in that skin like organic chainmail, making them super tough.
If Australia can make a Thylacoleo/Drop Bear horror movie, this shouldn't be too far off.
I’d love to see a Cenozoic horror flick.
Well, there is one about the Australian Marsupial lion, Thylacoleo. Came out, like, last year.
